Tables: Remove a Column

Use this action to delete a column from an existing data table.

Use case

If a table contains extra information that is no longer needed or collected, the Tables: Remove a Column action can clean up the data table by removing an unneeded column.

For example, if an instance is updated and the form within the instance no longer collects a certain field, using the Tables: Remove a Column action will delete the unnecessary information.

How to configure this action

The Tables: Remove a Column action will modify the existing table, this keeps the Data table ID constant, allowing you to continue to use the table in other instances.

If you attempt to remove a column name that does not match with a column on the table, a fix issues will be raised.

💡   Tip: Be aware that once the column is removed, the change is permanent.
