Salesforce: Create an account

Use this action to add a new account record in Salesforce.

Use case

  • Automate recording new accounts as part of a sales qualification process
  • Improve data accuracy and integrity with automated account creation and management

How to configure this action

This action requires a preconfigured Salesforce integration. For more information on integrating Catalytic with other systems, please refer to the Integrations section of our help documentation.

Fields for this action

  • Integration

    • Select your team’s integration from the list
  • Output field name

    • The name of the field in which the result should be saved
  • Name

    • List the name of the Salesforce account
    • A name longer than the maximum length of 255 characters will cause the action to fail
  • Account Owner Id

    • Input the 15 digit ID for the owner of this account.
    • If left blank, it will default to the Salesforce integration user.
  • Type

    • Type of account
    • Customer, Competitor, or Partner
  • Account number

    • Account number assigned to this account (not the unique, system-generated ID assigned during creation). Maximum size is 40 characters.
  • Account site

    • List the account’s location, such as headquarters
  • Industry

    • List the account’s department
  • Annual revenue

    • Estimate the annual revenue
  • Billing information

    • Street address
    • City
    • State
    • Postal code
    • Country
  • Phone

    • Phone number for a contact of this account
  • Website

    • The url for this account
  • Number of employees

    • Estimate employees represented by this account
  • Description

    • Describe the account
  • Custom field 1 (2, 3, 4, 5) API Name

    • Define a custom field to update. To find the API Name, view the field in Salesforce Setup. Custom fields typically uses the format FieldName__c
  • Custom field 1 (2, 3, 4, 5) value

    • Set the value to store in the custom field.

What will this output?

All output fields will store under the custom field value giving during the action configuration.
