Use this action to detect the language of text.

How to configure this action

This action can interpret any text and determine the language. If the text has multiple languages this action will identify the intended language of the text, which is generally the language with the most words.

If the text may have an equal number of words in different languages, this action may not detect the intended language.

Fields for this action

  • Text for Language Detection

    • Enter a block of text or field reference to text. The action will detect the language of this text.

What will this output?

This action will output the identified language, language code, and a reliability and confidence score.

  • language

    • The name of the detected language in English.
  • reliable

    • A metric of the reliability of the detection. This metric is deprecated and is included for compatibility; decision making or categorization should not be based on these values.
  • confidence

    • The confidence of the predicted language. This score is deprecated and is included for compatibility; decision making or categorization should not be based on these values.
  • code

    • The language code of the detected language in the ISO 639-1 Code format.
