Starts a Workflow instance when a new user is created within an Okta organization. New user attributes like email, created date, or first and last name are available as fields in each instance started.

How to configure this trigger

You can add new triggers or configure any existing triggers on a Workflow’s edit screen. Triggers are configured for each Workflow.

Fields for this trigger

  • Trigger Name

    • Name to label the trigger within the Triggers page.
  • Integration

    • Select from a list of all Okta integration connections already authorized on your team.

What will this output?

Every new user created within Okta starts an instance of a Workflow. New user attributes like email, created date, or first and last name are available as fields in each instance started.

Output fields for this trigger

  • User activation date

    • The activation date of the user account in YYYY-MM-DDThh:mm:ss.sZ format. A user can activate their account by logging in and choosing a password, or an admin can activate an account manually.
  • User creation date

    • The creation date of the user account in YYYY-MM-DDThh:mm:ss.sZ format. The created date is the date the account was added to Okta, prior to activation.
  • User email

    • The email address of the user.
  • User first name

    • The user’s first name.
  • User ID

    • The User ID associated with the new user. For example, 00ub0oNGTSWTBKOLGLNR
  • User last name

    • The user’s last name.
  • User last updated

    • The date the user account was last updated, in YYYY-MM-DDThh:mm:ss.sZ format.
  • User mobile phone

    • The users’s mobile phone number in 555-555-5555 format.
  • User status

    • The user account status at the time of the trigger. Such as, ACTIVE, PROVISIONED, or STAGED.
