Use this action to add an issue or user story to JIRA.

Use case

  • Set up unique triggers to create new JIRA issues, like using inbound emails or webforms.
  • Report bugs or create tickets in JIRA as part of a Workflow.
  • Create issues as part of a project management function.

How to configure this action

This action requires a preconfigured JIRA integration. For more information on integrating Catalytic with other systems, please refer to the Integrations section of our help documentation.

Fields for this action

  • Integration

    • Select your team’s integration from the list
  • Jira Project

    • The key from the JIRA project you would like to create an issue on
  • Issue Type

    • Type of Issue you want to create, like bug, epic, or story
  • Issue Summary

    • Summarize the issue
  • Issue Labels

    • Create labels to attach to the JIRA issue. Apply multiple labels using comma separated values.
  • Issue Assignee

    • Enter who the issue is assigned to
  • Issue Priority

    • Enter the issue priority, like using low, medium, or high
  • Issue Description

    • Describe the issue

What will this output?

This action will produce more than one output through JIRA that can be referenced later.

Output fields for this action

  • JIRA Create Issue Response

    • Success or error code
  • JIRA Issue ID

    • Returns the new issue ID
  • JIRA Issue Key

    • Returns the new issue key
  • JIRA Issue URL

    • Returns the new issue URL
