Contacts: Look Up Contact Info by Email

🕙  3 minute read

Use this action to search for and return information about someone using an email address.

This action returns information like full name, organization, or demographics, based on the availability of this data.

If you’re trying to verify that an email address is legitimate, you can use the Contacts: Validate an Email Address action.

Use case

  • Collect information on applicants, customers, vendors, etc.
  • Integrate this action as part of a candidate interview process.

How to configure this action

This action can be used to look up an individual contact by email, or you can look up information about a company by using the domain part of their email address.

Fields for this action

  • Email address

    • Enter the contact’s email address.
  • Output Field Prefix

    • To help keep output fields organized, choose an output field prefix to add to the beginning of each output field name as this action may output more than one field.
    • The step’s name is used as the prefix by default.

What will this output?

This action will attempt to return as much contact information as possible and available. If a output field is empty, that information was not available for the contact.

This action may generate multiple fields. To help keep output fields organized, the prefix above will be added to the beginning of each of the output field names, separated by two dashes. Each field will result as:{{output-field-prefix--output-field}}. Learn more
