Welcome to Catalytic Catalytic is a no code Workflow automation platform meant to help streamline and digitize your business processes.

This is done by stringing together configurable steps or actions that allow you to define a process and automate work.

This first video will be a basic walk through the platform to familiarize you with where everything is.

We’re currently on our main dashboard or homepage within Catalytic.

Here, it’s just letting us know what tasks have been assigned to us.

Even though Catalytic is an automation platform, there’s still patterns or Workflow processes where you’re going to want a human in the loop, for example, to handle exceptions, or manage escalations and provide feedback.

Additionally, you could see all the Workflows running that you’re involved in from the instances section of her dashboard.

This lets you have visibility into your operations at all times, and can quickly see not just what flows are running, but where they are in the process.

Now that we’ve gone over what each section of our main homepage is here, let’s go over these icons that are in the top right of our screen real quick.

First, we have our account icon.

And this is just where we can change some of our basic information in toggle few a few settings about our account, as well as access community and get some help and support if needed.

Next to it is a notification bell, which will show you all of the tasks that have been assigned to you and when any new task comes in.

This will also give you a notification.

And then next to that we have a three by three grid with a drop down that allows us to navigate to a few different sections of our platform.

Here you can view all instances of Workflows that are currently running, navigate to data tables, navigate to an analytics dashboard, or discover actions or set up a predictive model.

And for those of you with admin privileges, this is where you can configure your team settings and your admin settings such as setting permissions for each of your users, and inviting new members to your team.

And then next to that, we have our advanced search feature, which just lets you search different parts of our platform for various different items.

So that’s all the icons in the top right of our page.

Let’s go over the ones that are now in the top left corner.

In order starting from the far left side, we have a navigate to our homepage or main dashboard, which is this screen button.

So all this does is just take you home.

And then we have our Workflows and Tasks tab, where the Tasks tab will show you only the tasks that are assigned to you.

And then our Workflows tab will show you all the different Workflows in your instance.

Let’s go ahead and create a new Workflow using the button in the top right.

This will bring up a pop up screen where we can select the type of flow we want to create.

At the bottom we have our showcase templates, which are pre built Workflows to help get you started a Catalytic and give you some ideas about what processes you can build more of which are available by browsing these different areas on the left hand side here.

You’re also able to import Workflows and export them between environments.

But we’re just going to go ahead and start from a blank template.

Okay, now we’re just going to start by setting up the initial details of our flow.

So we’re going to go ahead and give our Workflow a name and a description.

The process that we’re going to be building is just going to be a basic invoice routing and approval Workflow, where we submit an invoice from a webform routed to an approver and then give the feedback back to that requester on whether or not the invoice was approved or denied.

So now that we’ve added our Workflow, name, and description, let’s go over these last few sections of our Workflow before we create it, you can set a category for your Workflow, so an easier way to organize them, set an owner for your Workflow.

So who is responsible for actually owning it since there are some more responsibilities that they might have to take on, and then you can control the security.

So who can view start and find this Workflow as well as edit it? So that way you’re able to control permissions of who can change your Workflow.

But yeah, that is everything as far as setting up our flow.

So now let’s just go ahead and create it once we hit create will be brought to our builder where we can now set up a trigger and start adding actions into our Workflow.

In our next video, we’ll be baselining all of the different settings in our Workflow builder here, just so we can further familiarize ourselves with Catalytic before adding our first action.

Thanks for tuning in.

Sorry about that. What was the most unhelpful part?
